How to Assign a Label Printer to a Kiosk

1. Prerequisites

WARNING: Before proceeding, please ensure that all of the following conditions are met; otherwise, you may encounter difficulties during the process.

Your kiosk devices have been successfully connected to the CrisisGo GateKeeper system and are ready for use.

2. Install the CrisisGo PC App

To assign your label printer to a kiosk, first install the latest CrisisGo PC App. Ensure you have version 6.29.0 or later.

3. Sign In to Your Front Desk Admin Account

  1. Open the CrisisGo PC app on your Front Desk Windows PC.

  2. Enter your Desktop Admin account and password.

  3. Click 'Sign In'; avoid clicking 'Sign In with SSO'.

TIP: You should get your Front Desk Admin account and password from your administrator.

4. Open GateKeeper Printer Settings

  1. On the top bar of the CrisisGo app, click 'Organization'.

  2. On the Organization page, select 'GateKeeper'.

  3. When the GateKeeper page opens, click 'Printer Settings' on the left sidebar. If it is not visible due to the screen resolution, scroll down the sidebar to locate it.

5. Assign Label Printer to Kiosk

Now, let's get to the exciting part—assigning a connected label printer to your kiosk!

1. First, on the 'Printer Settings' page, click 'Select Kiosk(s)' on the right side of the 'Set Printers Used by Kiosks' section.

2. When prompted, select the kiosk you would like to use, then click 'Save'.

3. After saving, you should see your kiosk listed under the 'Set Printers Used by Kiosks' section. Then, click the gear icon to the right of your kiosk's name.

4. On the new page, click the large blue area under the 'Printer for Visitor Badge' section.

5. When prompted, select your printer brand. We use Brother as an example. Click on 'Brother', then select one of your connected Brother printers and click 'Save'.

6. Finally, click 'Print Test Page' to ensure your printer is working.

After all settings are configured, you should see the status of 'Printer for Visitor Badge' displayed as 'Online' under your kiosk name in the 'Set Printers Used by Kiosks' section.
