How to Sideload the CrisisGo Android App On a Samsung Galaxy Tab A9+

Updated over 6 months ago

Sometimes, for various reasons, you may need to manually update the CrisisGo app by sideloading it. This is typically done for beta feature previews or troubleshooting. Follow the instructions below to sideload the CrisisGo Android app onto your device.

1. Enable Installations from Unknown Sources

If your device was preconfigured by a CrisisGo partner, it should already be allowed to install from Unknown Sources, so you can safely ignore this step. If you're unsure, simply follow the steps below to confirm.

  • Open the "Settings" app on your device.

  • Navigate to "Security & Privacy" (or "Biometrics and Security", depending on your device's software version).

  • Locate and enable "Install unknown apps" (or "Unknown Sources").

  • Select the browser or file manager app you'll use to download the APK (e.g., Files, Chrome, or Samsung Internet) and toggle on "Allow from this source".
